Juice from half a lemon (optional, for a citrusy twist)
Directions
Boil water in a kettle or pot.
Place the green tea bag in a mug.
Once the water reaches a boil, pour it over the green tea bag.
Let the green tea steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
While the tea is steeping, you can add grated ginger for extra flavor, if desired.
After steeping, remove the tea bag.
If using, squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the tea for a refreshing citrus flavor.
Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Let it cool slightly before sipping.
Recipe Note
- Green tea contains caffeine, so be mindful of your caffeine intake, especially if you're sensitive to it or if it interferes with your sleep.
- If you prefer iced tea, you can let the tea cool completely and then refrigerate it before serving over ice.
- Enjoy your tea mindfully, savoring each sip and paying attention to how it makes you feel.
- If desired, add drops of honey to sweeten the tea.
